Looking Back at 2012 III

October was a very fun month and the Guild celebrated it's 1st anniversary party. It was a fun night with art and music. It is hard to believe the Guild has now been open more than a year.

Also in October 2012, the Guild had a artist decorated pumpkin raffle and participated in Trunk or Treat in the Square

In October we hosted many demos by our artists. For example: the Guild hosted a demo by Lisa W.B. Walker. Lisa demonstrated how to make pumpkins and apples with clay and then they were eventually fired and for sale at the Gallery. Attendees were invited to touch and work with the clay. Story here

In November, 2012, Cat Ciccolo Tucker gave a demo on book making. She used her own woodcut scraps to make her book covers. Making books is takes lots of sewing and is a time consuming process. It was great to all the work that go into these books. Story here

Also in November, the Guild continued it's partnership with the Endicott Branch of the Dedham Public Library. With new installations of guild artists work rotating every few months. This partnership is bringing art to the neighborhood and into a more public space.

At the end of November, Dedham Square Circle planned it annual Holiday Stroll. The event included merchants being open late, Lighting of the Town Tree and a visit from Santa Clause. The Guild also was the drop off business for Children's art that decorated Dedham Square.

Guild Member, Melanie Guerra also had a trunk show that night. A baubles and bubble night.  fizzy drinks and very beautifully made jewelry

December coming up tomorrow... A very busy and fun month, full of art and events
