Guest Artist, Marie Lim is a printmaker, potter and fiber artist, who after studying art and
literature in college, went on to become a Waldorf School educator.
In teaching the arts and mythology of Africa, she developed motifs that are essential to all of her creative media. Whether the Tsui-goab (the rain god), Aido-hwedo (the rainbow serpent) or other images, each of her prints are hand-carved and inked with subtle and sometimes vibrant earth tones, then printed and matted for display.
Recently diagnosed at age 58 with early-onset Alzheimer’s, Marie and her family are offering her intriguing limited edition prints for purchase.
A separate donation to the Alzheimer’s Association
will be made in honor of Marie by members of
the Dedham Square Artist Guild.
