Opening Reception at the Guild, Thursday Nov 6th

Join us Thursday November 6th from 6pm to 8pm, for an opening reception featuring our artists of the month, Cindy Mootz and Barbara Trainer.

Cindy Mootz — Gelatin Monotypes
Cindy will be exhibiting new gelatin monotypes, framed 8"x10" and 11"x14". She will also have unframed pieces, magnets and cards. Cindy will also be doing a demo on how her prints are made.

"The pieces in this exhibit are all gelatin monotypes. I've been experimenting with this printing process for several years. Cut-out templates, found objects such as plant material, bubble wrap or nearly anything, are gently pressed into an inked gelatin plate then printed onto paper to create a unique design. The technique does not require a press and is non-toxic, which makes it easy to do at home. It's also highly fun and addictive!"
